Arrive in Chester, the medieval city on the border between England and Wales and enjoy the first night of your escape. Chester has some delicious restaurants to choose from both in the city centre and along the canal.

Explore the ancient cathedral, wander the city walls and visit the old Roman amphitheatre, absorbing the long history of the city. Afterwards, head into the city centre and visit the 700-year-old Rows Galleries for a spot of shopping in this grand setting.

Travel the length of the North Wales coastline to the town of Conwy. Stop in Llandudno, a Victorian seaside town which still retains the same character as it did in the 1800s with its long, traditional pier and colourful townhouses. Behind stands the Great Orme headland – a spectacular sight.
As you drive into Conwy, admire the imposing castle standing proud over the town and from where lead the winding city walls.

Head across the Menai Bridge built by Thomas Telford for a day trip to the island of Anglesey. Beaumaris Castle is one of the most complete in North Wales and the town here is well worth a visit.
Anglesey has a large variety of lovely sandy beaches and rocky coves, including six Blue Flag Beaches and a Blue Flag Marina.

Stop at spectacular Caernarfon Castle this morning and take some time to explore the fortress and old town.
In Porthmadog itself, visit the Maritime Museum and learn about the town’s history as an important harbour town. Nearby, visit the Italian inspired town of Portmeirion and feast your senses on the array of colourful buildings, exotic plants and impressive artwork.

Today you could take a day trip to the gorgeous Llŷn Peninsula and spend a day immersed in natural beauty, wide open beaches and vast seascapes. Stop to explore the many little towns dotted along this exquisite coastline.

Take a drive south past Harlech Castle down to the Welsh seaside town of Barmouth, whose palm-lined promenade sits proudly looking out over Cardigan Bay.
Continue along the breadth of the Cardigan coastline, exploring lovely towns and villages as you take in the greener and rounder mountains of South Eryri (Snowdonia).

Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the seaside village of Aberdyfi today and explore the nearby Castell y Bere – a fortress sitting on a rocky outcrop in the Dysynni Valley below Cader Idris.
Cader Idris itself is the most popular mountain in the area and the highest in South Eryri (Snowdonia). Explore the visitor centre and the incredible Cregennan natural lakes.

Loop back to the north today and notice the changing landscape as you leave the coastline and gentler hills behind.
Head deep into more rugged north Eryri (Snowdonia) to the storybook town of Betws-y-Coed – your base to explore the heart of the national park. Wander into the cute shops and cafes along the picturesque high street and enjoy some fine local produce in the town’s excellent restaurants and pubs.

A full day of exploring Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park awaits. You could visit one of many charming little towns such as Beddgelert or Blaenau Ffestiniog, take on the mighty mountain Snowdon, choose a rambling riverside walk, or go ziplining at the largest zip park in Europe. This is one of the best areas in the UK to explore the great outdoors.
Overnight – Betws-y-Coed
After breakfast, a 90-minute drive will take you back to Chester where your Eryri Snowdonia 360 journey will come to an end.
