These azure waters and golden sands may look Caribbean-esque, but you’ll actually find this beautiful spot near Ullapool on the North Coast 500. Posted in January, this photo seemed to banish the winter blues and make everybody very excited for summer – just look at those colours!

Highland cows are hardy creatures and don’t bat an eyelid when it snows, with this one even posing perfectly for his closeup! These gentle giants have become Scottish icons (partially thanks to VisitScotland’s #Coosday posts every Tuesday!) and are a popular photo opportunity for visitors to the country.

Probably the most photographed spot on Hadrian’s Wall Path, Sycamore Gap became somewhat legendary after featuring in Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and has even been named England’s tree of the year! This shot nicely captures the iconic tree with the ancient Roman wall rising steeply in the background.
