The Pembrokeshire Coast Path winds its way along 186 miles of stunning and varied coastline and offers some of the best coastal walking in Britain.
The trail begins in Amroth in the south and finishes in St Dogmaels near Cardigan, traversing an ever-changing landscape – from rugged cliffs and magical coves to breathtaking coastal villages and long sandy beaches.
The south section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path twists its way along the coast from the village of Amroth, past pristine beaches and colourful settlements to the town of Pembroke, with the mighty Pembroke Castle as its focal point. This section includes some of the best beaches of the whole trail, including beautiful Barafundle Beach which is only accessible by foot, and the picturesque town of Tenby.
The central section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path covers a variety of landscapes, from the industrial harbour in Milford Haven to the dramatic Marloes peninsula, finishing in the picturesque city of St Davids with its ancient cathedral. The route offers wonderful coastal scenery with pristine beaches and an opportunity to spot wildlife from the sea cliffs.
The north section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path twists and turns along some of the most exhilarating cliff top scenery in Britain as it makes its way to St Dogmaels. This steep and challenging stage is hugely rewarding as it travels through the best parts of the National Park with incredible views and an abundance of marine and seabird colonies.
Walking the whole 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path will give you an immense feeling of satisfaction. Each day is a new adventure with an ever-changing succession of heavenly sandy beaches, hidden smuggler coves, steep rock formations and charming fishing villages. The views from the trail are incredible as you follow the golden coastline around beautiful Pembrokeshire.
