The James Bond Experience begins in Edinburgh, Scotland’s impressive capital city and travels west to visit several locations used in classic James Bond films. This tour visits Inveraray before going north to Glen Etive and Glencoe, and finishes in Speyside.

The James Bond Experience begins in Edinburgh, Scotland’s impressive capital city and travels west to visit several locations used in classic James Bond films.

The tour begins by visiting Scotland’s largest collection of Bond memorabilia, including a BMW 750 used in Tomorrow Never Dies, before continuing over to the West Coast. The tour then visits the tranquil village of Crinan, used in the boat chase scenes in From Russia With Love. From there, take the stunning drive into Glen Etive and onwards to Glencoe to see the scenery used in the filming of Skyfall. You will then visit Eilean Donan Castle, the headquarters of MI6 from The World is Not Enough, which also happens to be one of the most scenic and iconic castles in Scotland. Complete your James Bond Experience with day in Speyside, including a tour of the famous Macallan Distillery where you can sample Bond’s favourite whisky.

Day 1: Arrive in Edinburgh

Arrive in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, and the birthplace of Sir Sean Connery. Sample Bond’s favourite cocktail – shaken not stirred – on Edinburgh’s George Street.
Overnight – Edinburgh

Day 2: From Edinburgh (With Love)

Spend the day exploring the former haunts of Sir Sean, including the school he used to deliver milk to – that also happens to be the same school Bond attended – and the Art College where he posed as a life model. Enjoy Edinburgh’s rich connections with the world of literature and film, as well as exploring its historical castle and Royal Mile.

Day 3: Edinburgh to the West Coast

Head west and visit Scotland’s largest collection of Bond memorabilia, including a BMW 750 used in Tomorrow Never Dies. Have a snack at Miss Moneypenny’s Diner before continuing west with a scenic drive along the banks of Loch Lomond over to Faslane Naval Base, used in The Spy Who Loved Me.

Day 4: A View to a Thrill

Explore Scotland’s incredible West Coast, including the tranquil village of Crinan, used in the boat chase scenes in From Russia With Love. There are some impressive walks to enjoy in this area and you will also find some of the finest seafood in Scotland.

Day 5: West Coast to Glencoe

Travel north along the shores of Scotland’s longest loch before enjoying spectacular Glen Orchy. Continue into the wilderness of Rannoch Moor and Glen Etive, instantly recognisable from 2012’s Skyfall.

Day 6: Drive Another Day

After soaking up the spooky and atmospheric Glencoe, birthplace of Bond’s father, make your way to one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. Posing as the headquarters of MI6 in The World Is Not Enough, Eilean Donan Castle has a fascinating history well worth exploring.

Day 7: Glencoe to Speyside

Travel the length of the Great Glen, a stunning 75 mile drive along a geographical fault line. Keep your eye out for monsters as you travel alongside Loch Ness, or take the chance to explore the impressive ruin of Urquhart Castle. Complete your day by travelling into Speyside.
Overnight – Speyside

Day 8: Live and Let Dram

Spend the day in Speyside and visit the Macallan Distillery, where you can enjoy a tour before sampling Bond’s favourite whisky. Explore Britain’s largest National Park, the Cairngorms.

Day 9: Speyside to Edinburgh and Depart

Leave whisky country behind you and head south through the beauty of Highland Perthshire towards Edinburgh, where your James Bond Tour will end.
