In recent weeks the world has seen the emergence and spread of a new virus known as Coronavirus (Covid-19). The media coverage worldwide has shown how the situation is constantly changing and new developments emerge every day. At Absolute Escapes, we know that this is a concern for our clients and we are closely monitoring and managing the situation. As always, our priority is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our clients, staff and suppliers.
We understand your concerns, and we are here to provide as much help, advice and assistance as we can, to ensure that your holiday proceeds as smoothly and safely as possible. The details below will help explain how we are operating in the current situation, but please feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns.
In response to the unprecedented actions being taken by the UK and Irish governments to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Absolute Escapes is temporarily postponing all trips departing between 17 March and 31 May 2020.
We will be in touch and, if possible, you may choose to continue your trip as planned, or alternatively travel home. Unfortunately, we’re unable to refund any part of your trip, and you should contact your travel insurance provider in order to recover any costs.
We will be in touch as soon as possible and we are happy to offer you a choice of one of the following options for all payments made for bookings due to depart from 17 March to 31 May 2020:
1) Postpone your trip to a specific date any time before 31 May 2022.
2) Postpone your trip to an unspecified date any time before 31 May 2022. Please advise us on your new dates at least 8 weeks prior to travelling.
3) Receive a credit towards any new trip to be taken any time before 31 May 2022. If the cost of your new trip is higher than the cost of your original trip then we will ask you to pay the difference between the two prices. However, if the cost of your new trip is less, then we will be happy to refund the difference between the two.
As with all of our packages, there is usually an increase in price each year of approximately 5% per year. However, if you’re happy to postpone your trip to a date in the future we’re happy to honour the existing price.
We appreciate your support during this challenging time and look forward to welcoming you when the time is right.
As the coronavirus situation is changing constantly, we are keen to be as flexible as possible with our terms and conditions to ensure that you are still able to travel at some point in the future. With this in mind, we are happy to offer the following options if you have already made the final payment for your holiday, and this is due to start within the next 6 – 8 weeks:
1) If you wish to postpone your trip and have alternative dates in mind, we simply require a £50.00 admin fee to change the dates on your arrangements. If you wish to postpone your trip but do not currently have alternative dates in mind, we would be happy to hold your payment for now. When you decide on your new dates, please let us know and we would just require a £50.00 admin fee to transfer your payment to this new booking. We would be happy to honour your original package price for your new dates.
2) If you choose to cancel your holiday, our standard terms and conditions will still apply. We would suggest that you contact your travel insurance provider to see if you’re able to recover any cancellation costs.
We recommend that you wait until closer to your travel dates to allow for more information to present itself. The situation is constantly changing, and it is difficult to predict what the status of travel for your dates will be. The final payment for your holiday is not due until 8 weeks prior to your travel date, but if you do wish to change your plans, you have the following options:
1) If you wish to postpone your trip and have alternative dates in mind, we simply require a £50.00 admin fee to change the dates on your arrangements. If you wish to postpone your trip but do not currently have alternative dates in mind, we would be happy to hold your deposit for now. When you decide on your new dates, please let us know and we would just require a £50.00 admin fee to transfer your paid deposit to this new booking. We would be happy to honour your original package price for your new dates.
2) If you choose to cancel your holiday, our standard terms and conditions will still apply. We would suggest that you contact your travel insurance provider to see if you’re able to recover any cancellation costs.
