This 2-mile walk is perhaps the most famous on the Isle of Skye. The walk is short and straightforward, but the stunning views of the distinctive pinnacle are extremely rewarding.
Located close to Tarbert, the Isle of Scalpay is connected to Harris by a road bridge and has a small, scattered population of around 300 people. This circular walk takes you around much of the island, where there is great coastal scenery. Eilean Glas Lighthouse is the perfect picnic spot!
Set apart from the rest of the Cuillin Mountains, Blaven is an isolated Munro with an imposing presence and stunning views of mountains, glens and islands in all directions. It is an ideal vantage point for looking over the Isle of Skye.
Standing at 799m tall, Clisham is the highest mountain in the Outer Hebrides and the only Corbett on the isles. This horseshoe route is a more challenging yet interesting alternative to the direct route – hopping from peak to peak along a ridge. This is the best way to make the most of the dramatic views all around.
The pretty town of Portree is the capital of the Isle of Skye, and deservedly so. Take a stroll through the colourful streets, around the bustling port, or browse the local craft shops in the town. Why not treat yourself to a special meal at one of the many restaurants serving delicious local produce?
With a seemingly endless expanse of white sand and impossibly blue-green water, it’s no surprise that Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris is consistently rated one of the best beaches in the world.
This fantastic multi-centre walking holiday takes you to wild Scottish islands known for their dramatic scenery, fascinating history, and abundance of walking opportunities.
